Anna Hazare seeks state info commissioner's ouster

Activist Anna Hazare has joined the protests demanding the dismissal of state information commissioner Ramanand Tiwari. Taking an aggressive stand, Hazare said Tiwari should be sacked and people like him "should be jailed and their properties checked". "I had objected to his appointment. The person who should be at that post is
someone with a clean record and integrity. The government, however, did not pay heed to it," Hazare said. Tiwari has been in the line of fire ever since documents showed that he had played a pivotal role in getting the width of the Captain Prakash Pethe Marg,
adjoining the plot where Adarsh Society is today, reduced. His son is a member of the society.
