State to go ahead with CIC appointment

The state government decided to go ahead with the appointment of the state's chief information commissioner (CIC) and two members of the state human rights commission after leader of the opposition Partha Chatterjee skipped the meeting to discuss the appointments on Friday. The state will send the names of the proposed appointees to the governor for his approval.
