State info panel tells Vigilance to provide Januja case details

A double bench of Punjab State Information Commission, comprising Lt Gen (retd) P K Grover and Jaspal Kaur, on Thursday directed the Vigilance department to provide IAS officer Vijay Kumar Janjua documents related to the case registered against him.
Janjua was booked by the Vigilance Bureau last November on charges of graft and was later suspended. On May 17 this year, he had filed an RTI application in the office of the additional secretary, Department of Vigilance, seeking certified copies of all information related to the FIR registered against him under Section 7, 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, at the Vigilance Bureau Flying Squad-1, Mohali, police station.
