No chemical disaster plan with GSDMA, reveals RTI application

The Gujarat Disaster Management Authority (GSDMA), it seems, doesn't think that chemical industries have potential to cause disasters in the state. Despite the Bhopal gas tragedy that killed thousands of people two decades ago, the Gujarat government doesn't seem to have learnt anything. A right to information (RTI) application made to GSDMA on June 26 has revealed that they don't have any chemical disaster plan for the state that has a large number of chemical industries.
