AP police warns dowry accused
A man from Bengaluru, who was booked by the women’s police station in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, for dowry harassment has been warned by the Tirupati police to stop making attempts to make queries through RTI on the case. The man’s sister had been picked up by the Tirupati police from Bengaluru last year for questioning and he wanted to get details about the detainment under the RTI Act. In a reply to the letters written by Rajesh, of Jalahalli, in the first week of this month, the SI attached to the women’s police station in Tirupati, said that his repeated applications seems to be a plot and therefore they are keeping a close watch on his movements.
