PMPML chief spent Rs 7.5 lakh to renovate office, RTI reveals
Information sought under the Right to Information Act by a civic activist has revealed that the newly appointed managing director of the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) Ashwani Kumar has spent a total of Rs 7.5 lakh for renovating his office, within the first month of his joining, that too, without floating any tender. Civic activist Vivek Velankar told this to reporters on Monday. He said, "As per the information, Ashwani Kumar had directed to get a makeover of his cabin at the headquarters of the PMPML at Swargate," The work includes creating fall ceiling, giving luster paint to the walls, changing the curtains, ceiling fan, pedestal fan. The electrification work alone will cost Rs 1.60 lakh, he added.
