Karnataka get new Information Commissioner
Karnataka State Government issued a Notification on 6.10.2008 appointing Sri. J S Virupakshaiah as Information Commissioner. With the appointment of Mr. J S Virupakshaiah totoal number of ICs including Chief Information Commissioner stands increased to four.
Mr. J S Virupakshaiah is a Senior KAS Officer and was serving as Private Secretary to the Chief Minister of Karnataka. He is the second KAS cadre Officer to be appointed as Information Commissioner in Karnataka.
