The State Information Commission (SIC) on Thursday asked Cabinet Secretary to appear in person before it by December 12, with details of expenditure incurred on renovation of Ambedkar Udyan. The decision came after officials of Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) and Rajkiya Nirman Nigam (RNN) failed to convince the commission with documents detailing map and expanse of the udyan.

This is the first time that the Cabinet Secretary has been summoned by the commission. A Right to Information (RTI) Task Force has moved the commission seeking details of the expenditure incurred on chief minister Mayawati's dream project.
