RTI Effect: Railways to disclose CVC probe details in corruption case

The Central Information Commission has asked the Railways to divulge details of a probe related to corruption charges against one of its employees whose name was cleared by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC).

Hearing an RTI appeal moved by O P Mehra, an officer at North Western Railways, the CIC asked the Railways to provide him the required information on his departmental inquiry report by which his name was cleared of the charges by CVC.
