IAS officials, usually at the receiving end when it comes to applications filed under Right to Information (RTI) Act, too have found it to be a useful instrument in digging out information. Some in the IAS lobby have decided to pierce the iron curtain shrouding their annual confidential report (ACR) - which is a leash in the hands of politicians to ensure that bureaucrats tow their line - with the help of RTI.
